Why Is She Famous? Originally best known for her starring role as Lizzie McGuire on the small and big screens, Hilary Duff is now equally well known for her chart-topping status as a pop singer; she has a No. 1 album in addition to a No. 1 movie and TV show.
Quotes Every week I read about myself in a magazine, about something that I haven't done or some place that I've never been or don't even know. It's just gossip, rumors, egos, and politics.

Hilary has started recording her new album.
Popular singer and actress Hilary Duff is set to start recording her
new album later this week or early next week, according to Hilary Duff
Web. Approximately six songs have already been written, according to
the Web site. Eleven instrumentals have circulated from five different
producers, as well. Duff's newest single, "Reach Out (And Touch
Me)," will be released in August. Disputes over whether or not the song
should be a promo track or the album's first single caused delays on
the song's release. A video for the song should also be filmed in the
next few weeks. "Reach Out," written by Kara DioGuardi and Duff
herself, and is a slightly edgier song for popstar. It features a
sample from the Depeche Mode song "Personal Jesus." The song was
also produced by the talented Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, who has
produced major hits like Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love." Tedder also
produced his own band's "Apologize." The new studio album will be Duff's fourth and a follow-up to 2007's Dignity.

Hilary Romance! ; Is Mike Comrie the ONE?
Hilary Duff been a star since she was just 14 years old and made
Disney's Lizzie McGuire a huge hit, but the actress is still looking
for guidance in the area of love. A report from Star magazine claims
that ever since she was paired with celebrity psychic Tracy Williams
for a 2005 teen magazine story, the 20 year old has visited several
practitioners in the L.A. area and has even brought her sister, Haylie,
and her mom, Susan along. "She has a very curious mind and is
interested in what lays ahead," an insider tells Star. "She never takes
it too seriously, but she does mull over what the psychics say." Hey,
it worked very well for Nancy Reagan. Will this help in her
relationship that she is in with hockey star Mike Comrie? According to
the report from Star magazine she certainly is seeking advice and the
report claims that she's been asking the seers if her pro hockey player
beau, Mike Comrie, is the real deal and she wants to know if he is
really "The One!" "She's really into Mike and would like to get
married and start a family, so she's looking for a second opinion about
whether he'd be a good fir for her in the long run," the source spilled
to Star. Their answer? Thumbs up! "Hilary is so happy," says the
insider.

Hilary Breaks Out of Her Shell
Houston-born Hilary Duff already had accrued some TV and film credits,
and starred in a popular Disney Channel series, before her first studio
album, Metamorphosis, went triple-platinum in 2003. But while her
pop-artistry elevated her profile, her movie career remained stuck in
neutral. As she traipsed through such featherweight fare as A
Cinderella Story (2004) and The Perfect Man (2005), the former Lizzie
McGuire star appeared incapable of offering audiences anything other
than variations of her squeaky-clean sitcom persona.

Joe Remixing Hilary’s New Single
Joe Bermudez, who previously remixed “Stranger”, “With Love”, “Come Clean” & many more Hilary Duff
hits has completed his remix of Hilary’s upcoming single “Reach Out”
(which she also performed live at the “Dignity Tour 2007-2008″)
sampling Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”. Joe has confirmed and has
also said that he is happy with the way the single has come out.
Quoting Joe:
“The label hasn’t told me an exact release date yet. My mixes came out
really nice though and I am excited to get them out there. I am
probably going to World premier the Dub on my new radio show next
month. I should be posting a clip soon and will let you know. When I am
getting ready to post it, I’ll try to let you know so you can get the
jump on everyone.”

Hilary Duff joins "cool school"
Hilary Duff has found a way to beat the heat, joining the cast of the new Polish brothers comedy "Stay Cool." Duff co-stars in "Cool" with Winona Ryder, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase and Jon Cryer. The project, which shoots in July in Santa Clarita, Calif., is described as a "knowing-your-age comedy," centering on a successful author (Polish) who is forced to confront an unrequited high school crush (Ryder) when he returns home to deliver a commencement address to graduating seniors. Duff will portray Shasta O'Neil, a sexy high school senior who flirts with the visiting author and invites him to the prom. Mark and Michael Polish, who wrote the script, are producing with Jonathan Sheldon, Ken Johnson and Janet DuBois via their new Prohibition Pictures banner. Michael Polish is directing. Duff, who broke through by becoming a tween superstar via her Disney TV series "Lizzie McGuire," has been slowly moving beyond that audience. She can be seen in the political satire "War, Inc." opposite John Cusack and has films "Safety Glass" and "Greta" in the can. Duff will be back in the studio to work on her fifth album this summer. She is repped by WMA and Curtis Talent Management.
